Architectural plans have been approved and permitting is underway for our renovation of the belltower and front porch. The belltower will be made structurally sound, and the front porch will be returned to its original historic layout. The building will also finally be painted. Donations are greatly appreciated and volunteers are welcome to contribute elbow grease as we tackle some of the labor. Use the contact form to get in touch.
Welcome to the
Independent Community Club & Center
We are a nonprofit club with an overarching purpose of bringing the local community together for the benefit of all. Under this purpose, we have three main goals:
- Promote goodwill and fellowship;
- Provide educational and social opportunities;
- Engage in charitable services for people in the community

The Independent Community Club (ICC) formed as a nonprofit when the Independent School closed in 1953 in order to manage the building as a community center. The ICC board is committed to keeping the ICC a focal point of our community by welcoming a diverse membership and hosting and supporting a variety of events at the Center. Members tend to live in general proximity to the Center, but there are no boundaries or requirements for membership. See the membership page for more information.
