Board Members
Our Independent Community Club board is made up of local volunteers (an all volunteer board) who generally live in the surrounding area. The board is responsible for maintaining the membership list, collecting dues, and overseeing the upkeep of the building. We are responsible for the capital budget and maintaining the longevity of the Independent Community Club and Center, responsible for the maintenance of the building and grounds, facility improvements, grants and other fundraising, and administration of building use. If you are interested in joining the board, come to the next board meeting to learn more.

Kelly Candanoza
President
Kelly and her family have enjoyed being a part of the ICC since moving to the area in 2006. This is Kelly’s second go around on the ICC Board and she is looking forward to meeting many new faces in the Community.

Mary Nalty
Vice President
I moved to Oregon from Colorado in 2021 to be closer to family and farther from big cities. I’m loving the small community vibe here.

Sue Rutherford
Treasurer
Sue moved to Ervin Rd from Virginia in 1992, with her husband John Luna and their 2 children. They were involved in the rebirth of the ICC from the beginning. She has served on the board several times in the capacity of treasurer. As a professional home designer, she also designed the new bathrooms. Interests include gardening, watercolor painting, ceramics and travel – though these days most travel involves going to see grandkids.

Lindsay Adrean
Lindsay moved to the south Philomath area with her husband and two young children early in the pandemic and joined the ICC in the fall of 2022 in order to connect with the local community. Her day job is with a non-profit working to conserve threatened bird species. When she isn’t looking through binoculars, you can find her in the garden or out sailing.

Susie Lisser
Susie and her husband, Warren, came to the neighborhood over 30 years ago to raise their family. She helped rejuvenate the ICC in the 1990’s. Having retired from her work in small business management, she is excited to once again serve this little gathering place called the Independent Community Center!

Kylene Leniger
Kylene and her husband, Carl, have lived in Oregon all their lives, but moved to the Philomath area in 2016. Their two young children and handful of animals keep them busy and well entertained. Kylene joined the ICC board in early 2024 and is looking forward to creating more social opportunities within the ICC, particularly around food and her love of cooking for others.
